About Us
Welcome to Springdale!
At Springdale, our students are engaged in a structured, rigorous, and joyful learning environment. We are a student-centered community that recognizes that students' needs are the driving force in the learning environment. Our teachers look forward to building relationships with students and families. We desire to build two-way communication to help students achieve to their highest potential.
Dual Language Program
We offer a one-way dual-language program to our native Spanish-speaking students and are switching to a two-way dual language model for all students starting with pre-K and kindergarten. Our students go beyond learning another language and learn about other cultures. Students first learn to read in their dominant language, then they spend equal amounts of time building literacy in English and Spanish. Students build fluency in both languages through their daily interactions with peers and teachers. In addition, our office staff is bilingual, which helps to ensure seamless communication between our school and students' families. Click here to learn more.
Springdale was built in 1925 and named after the surrounding area. While most schools in the Tulsa Public school system are named after historical figures, our school is unique in that it is named after the neighborhood we serve. Our neighborhood and community are integral to our success, and it helps define who we are!
